Love is the Air

Happy Monday Bloggers!
I recently stumbled upon Scrappy Friends Challenge. Four young ladies create individual challenges every month. If you combine all four together, you are entered into a seperate prize. I was suppose to have upload my layout days ago, but time got away from me. This is my first time playing along and I'm so happy I did. I love using all the different challenges like this on a layout. These are a couple of engagement photos ofhubby and I(aren't we adorable...lol). Here are the challenges...

Rochelle- Color Scheme
Kery-Use hand stitching, a punch, mixed alphas
Brenda-Sketch
Kristi-Something that flies

Here is my take...

Papers I used are from American Crafts and Fancy Pants. I did some mixed media on my layout using my homemade modeling paste. I used Crafter's Workshop Reverse Chickenwire stencil. I did some random stamping using Glitz Design stamps and Momento ink. I used EK Success flower punch, did some hand stitching around the white circle, and fussy cut butterflies. This was fun and I look forward to entering more of their challenges!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by,

Sweet Love-Color Me Scrappy #36

Happy Monday Everyone!
I can't believe the middle of April is upon us...where has the time gone?!? The weather here in Texas has been so great. It is finally feeling like spring with the flowers blooming and the nice weather. I don't want it to dip back down later this week. But on to the challenge...

I have another Guest Designer layout share today with Color Me Scrappy #36. This challenge is to use a color theme, as well as 2 of the same photo, and butterflies. I really enjoyed using my Crafter's Workshop stencil with some Studio G chalk ink. I splattered some acrylic paint in different areas. I white washed some corrugated card board. I also used doillies, skeleton leaves, and Tim Holtz grunge board pieces. Because I didn't have a paperline that matched the color theme, I used a 12x12 sheet of Recollections white cardstock. Michael's flowers, as well as, my handmade flowers added the pop of color.
Here is the color theme...

Here is my layout...

I am also playing along with C'est Magnifique Kits-sketch created by Michele Singh...

The Shabby Tea Room #160

After a long day yesterday of celebrating by baby girl's 2nd birthday, I made myself get up this morning and join some of these awesome challenges. I decided to make a card for The Shabby Tea Room ~Beautiful Blues~. This week you are to create a project inspired by the photo, use blue, white or cream, kraft, and add a sentiment. Here is the photo...

I used MME Moments paper pad and kraft and white cardstock from Recollections. I love how crisp the blue and white colors are. I used my Sizzix flourish die. I printed the sentiment from my computer and cut it into a banner. The flower is from my crochet stash. I added a doily, pearls, and tulle. I also made the leaves from my MS leaf punch. Here is my finished card...

I will also be joing MOJO #287

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Me Scrappy#35-I adore You

Good Afternoon Bloggers!
Hope everyone had an awesome Easter! We sure did. The kids had so much fun at the egg hunt my sister in law put together for them. I have a Guest Designer share today for Color Me Scrappy. I was super excited when I was asked!! This challenge requires a sketch + color theme. The amazing sketch was created by Christina Collins. The colors chosen for this challenge were soft and pastely. I really enjoyed thinking out the box for my layout...

The layout is of my two adorable kids. Both baby pics are when they were about one month old. The bottoms pics are one of very few of them being still for the pic. I love and adore them so much!
