Happy Holidays!!

Hello everyone!

I'm so glad the christmas season is here. Although we don't get as much snow as I would like, this is my absolute favorite time of  the year! I think right now I'm a little burnt out on anything crafty. I made forty christmas cards for our family and friends. I had so much fun creating cards last year that I decided to do it again. I think by the time we get back from visiting family I'll have that creative itch again. Here are some pics of my cards...

My inspiration came from some crafty women on youtube and on blogger. Happy Holidays to you and yours!!

Mojomonday#269; PDC 'color splash'

Hello!
I'm back with my second post this morning! I love the sketch that mojomonday has this week. I have been so busy creating my many Christmas cards, that I almost forgot to play along. I can't beleive today is saturday...where has the week went!?!

For this card I used the MME Christmas paper pad. I made a rosette and punched the edge with Martha Stewart scalloped punch. I used a sizzix flouishes die. I made a handmade flower out of felt. I also used ribbon, a craftsmart sentiment, punched snowflakes, and Studio G glitter glue. The marroon paper is by Recollections.

I am also playing along with The Play Date Cafe. The color splash challenge this week is BLACK and WHITE accented with MARROON. Here is Mojo's sketch...

JDE #33; iClassygirl #9

Good Morning Blogland!

I know I have been MIA for quite some time now. I just wasn't in the blogging mood but I'm back!! I was scrapbooing and crafting while I was away. I can't believe this year I have to make 40 Christmas cards. Hubby loves my cards and wants me to make half for him to give to his coworkers. I told him no problem not realizing what I had gotten myself into...lol!
This week over at Jackson's Digital Expressions, their challenge is to make a card using only the colors BLACK, WHITE, and RED. I chose to make an A2 size card with MME Christmas paper pad. I cut some of the paper into a small square to make it look like a gift. I also used a Studio G christmas stamp. I had fun creating this card and I hope you are inspired!

I also am playing along with iclassygirl.com card sketch #9. Here is the card sketch...

RRR#58 Halloween & Ribbon Theme

Good Morning! Can you believe the middle of October is upon us?!?! I love fall and it's starting to feel like it here in hot Texas...lol! I really enjoy taking the kids to the park during fall and spring. They can have fun without being too hot or too cold.

Really Reasonable Ribbon's challenge is to create a project with a Halloween theme and to use ribbon. I scraplifted my card from this amazing card maker by the name of AmyR-prairiepaperandink.typepad.com. You can take a look at her card here. And here is my card...

Did I mention this is my first ever halloween card! I think it turned out pretty cute! The cardstock I used is by Recollections. I used the KandCompany Ghostly Greetings paperline. I used Martha Stewart Spiderweb Double Edge punch.

For the dies, I used Spellbinders Circles and Fancy Tags. My images are Studio G, as well as, the Baker Twine, Alphabet Stamp Set, and Ink. I colored the images with my Groove Slim Lyra Color Pencils, Baby Oil, and a Metallic Silver Sharpie. I also used orange ribbon from my stash.

I plan to enter in Jackson Digital Expressons Challenge #27 CAS-To Dies For-Use 2 Dies. Thanks for taking the time to view my page.

PDCC #148...My first Tag!

Happy Tuesday! Just a quick share of my very first tag. I decided to play along with The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week. They have a new color challenge every thursday. This was a bit of a challenge{or got my creative juices flowing} for me because I have never used these colors together before. I had no paperline to match the colors for this challenge, therefore I had to makeup my own colors. I only used Folkart Deep Ocean Blue acrylic paint, Craft Smart Coral and Black acrylic paint, and some smokey grey chalk ink from Michaels' dollar bin to color everything with. Overall I had fun getting messy and I think it turned really nice!!

Peach...Navy Blue...Stone

Products: recollections leaves, flowers, handmade lollipop flower, lace, chinese braid trim, music stamp,Bazzil cardstock, pearl trim, studio g stamp, and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!
