Color Me Scrappy#35-I adore You

Good Afternoon Bloggers!
Hope everyone had an awesome Easter! We sure did. The kids had so much fun at the egg hunt my sister in law put together for them. I have a Guest Designer share today for Color Me Scrappy. I was super excited when I was asked!! This challenge requires a sketch + color theme. The amazing sketch was created by Christina Collins. The colors chosen for this challenge were soft and pastely. I really enjoyed thinking out the box for my layout...

The layout is of my two adorable kids. Both baby pics are when they were about one month old. The bottoms pics are one of very few of them being still for the pic. I love and adore them so much!

PDCC #175-Thank You

Morning everyone or should I say Good Afternoon!
I created a card for The Play Date Cafe Color Challenge. This was probably the quickest and easiest card I have ever made. My children didn't distract me at all...lol. Usually it takes me a little over a day to complete a card or project because I have to constantly start and stop. The colors for this weeks challenge were so soft and just beautiful. I used and tweeked a sketch from Mojo Monday. So let's get right into it.

You and Me

Good Afternoon!
I would like to share with you today a layout I created of me and my grandmother. The photo was taken at my son's 1st birthday party about 3 years ago. This was the last photo we took together before she had a stroke. The stroke took a toll on her but I thank the Lord that she is alive. Okay enough enough, let's move on to the description of my layout...lol!

I am entering Color Me Scrappy#32 and C'est Magnifique Kits challenge.C'est Magnifique Kits has monthly sketch challenges which I love! Here are the sketches:

Here is my layout:
I used so many different elements on this layout. I don't know where to begin...lol!
I first white washed the edges of my paper and photo with vanilla craftsmart paint and water. I then used a damask mask and all purpose stucco to give some dimension to my layout.
I tore some pages from an old book and some brown Recollections cardstock to mat my photo. I fussy cut some doillies from My Mind's Eye Love Me collection. I also used some paper from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found II Breeze collection.

I used some flowers from my stash as well as some handmade ones. I used my Ek Success decco flower edge punch...I believe that's the name of it. I also die cut some flourishes using my Sizzix Flourish #9 die. I stamped the birdcage with a Ditto stamp. I tore the side of the page, rolled it back, and stuck some Hobby Lobby lace in there. My title letters came from Studio G, Colorbok, and American Crafts. I also used buttons, pearls, and a handmade stick pin.
Hope to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by!

Best Wishes...

Good Morning and Happy Friday to All!!
I have a card I'd like to share today! My husband has another coworker leaving and he needed me to make him a quick card. Since I'm following the sketch at MojoMonday #283, this was an easy card to make. I chose to go with the more creams and browns. The sketch was created by Carole Burrage. I am also playing along with Cardsformen-Monochromatic challenge and The Shabby Team Room#156-Frame It.

Here is my creation:

Colorbok:French Prep
Recollections Cardstock
Distress Ink:Walnut

Spellbinders: Lacey Circle
Handemade flowers, Printed sentiment from computer

Use the photo for inspiration, with a frame, and use white with one other color!

Enjoyed creating this card! Hope this inspire you to create and play along as well!
